Costume list for ‘Willy Wonka Jr.’

April 22nd, 2008 by John Cutter · No Comments

A note from Amanda Warren: We are well into rehearsals for “Willy Wonka Jr.” and it already looks as ifit is going to be a fantastic show. Costumes for this show are a little trickier — no more bight shirt black pants! — but still relatively simple, so I thought I would give some of you a jump start on getting your costumes together.

Below is the list of characters and what you will need to provide. If your character’s name is not on the list below, it’s because we haven’t decided what you will wear yet, so expect another letter home as soon as we know.

Veruca — White tights and black shoes ( maryjane’s or jazz shoes)

Mrs. Salt — Plain black dress, black heels

Mrs. Beaureguard — Black shoes preferably heels

Violet — Black leggings

Matilda — Costume provided

James — Black pants

Charlie — White button down collard shirt ( a size or two larger than
actual size), white undershirt, Khaki or tweed capris (can look very worn or
we will make look old and weathered) and cardigan

Oompa loompas — Need black jazz shoe or plain black sneaker and either
light blue tights or blue knee socks ( can be striped with another tone of
blue, there are some available at target)

Phineous Trout — Costume provided

Augustus — Very large orange shirt ( needs to be big so we can add padding)

Mrs. Gloop — Costume provided

Grandpa — Worn collar, button-down shirt for under suit

Grandma, Georgina, and Josephina — Worn shawl or cardigan

Mrs. Bucket — Worn button-down collared shirt in any mute color
